Why should I do lab testing?
Lab work is essential because it removes the guesswork. By analyzing specific data, I can create a healing protocol that is tailored to your unique needs. This personalized approach ensures that we address the root causes of your health, leading to more effective and targeted protocols.
I don't have digestive issues. Why should I do gut testing?
In functional nutrition, it is widely recognized that many diseases begin in the gut. A large portion of the immune system is found in the gastrointestinal tract. Thus, if there are issues and inflammation in the gut it can spill over into other parts of the body causing dysfunction. Symptoms that can relate back to gut dysfunction include skin issues like acne or eczema, thyroid problems, autoimmune conditions, blood sugar balance issues, migraines, allergies, immune issues, and more. The health of the gut is a foundational piece of the health puzzle. Because so many diseases can originate in the GI-tract, running gut testing is the heart of all healing protocols. As the gut balances out, many of these symptoms can be resolved. If they don't, we have insights to lead the next steps.
Why should I sign up and commit to a 6 month program?
Healing is a journey that requires time and commitment, making a 6 month program an essential step towards achieving lasting change. These extended programs provide the structure and support needed to navigate the ups and downs of the healing process. Healing protocols can be difficult, especially in the early stages. Often there will be a temporary removal of favorite foods from the diet, a robust supplement protocol, and lifestyle changes including sleep and exercise. By dedicating yourself to this timeframe, you allow for time to adjust to the modifications that are necessary, ultimately leading to much better results. Imagine reaching a state of health where you can fully embrace life and pursue your passions with renewed energy and freedom all because you put your body in the best possible position to heal.
Do I have to take the supplements?
Supplements are always only a recommendation and are never used to "treat" a "condition." However, in these programs supplements will be used for therapeutic purposes, support natural functions that may be lacking, and provide nutritional support in areas of deficiency. All of these supports will be vital to the success of your program and your healing journey as they will help bring balance back to the body. Nutrition is always at the core of our work, but supplementation can be aggressive depending on the results of the GI-MAP. Supplements are a great tool to help boost healing outcomes and relieve symptoms while on a protocol to produce results that last for long after the protocol ends.
What is an RWP?
A RWP is a Restorative Wellness Practitioner. I received my certification from Restorative Wellness Solutions, a functional nutrition program that focuses on getting to the root cause of issues. We believe in using functional testing to identify factors that are blocking your optimal health. After identifying these blocking factors, we implement dietary, lifestyle, and targeted supplement protocols to allow the body to get back to functioning as it was created to. As a Restorative Wellness Practitioner, I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, illnesses, injury, or disease.
